ProPresenter Bibles: Free versus Paid Options
The ProPresenter Bible feature will make your life significantly easier but, before getting started, you first need to ensure you have your church’s preferred translation(s) installed. With that in mind, let’s look at the Bible translation options you have available to you in ProPresenter.
Not every Bible translation compatible with ProPresenter is available for free, licensed Bibles cost $15. Some translations are in the public domain which makes them free to use.
While you may be considering avoiding the cost of licensed Bibles and just using the free options, it’s important to consider the background of each translation your church endorses. For this reason, I’ve outlined each English Bible translation compatible with ProPresenter in this article.
What Are Bibles In ProPresenter?
In ProPresenter “Bibles” or the Bible feature is just that: Bibles. They are translations, both licensed and public domain, integrated into the ProPresenter software for churches to use in their presentations. This feature allows you to quickly and efficiently search for Bible references and add them to your presentation.
You can use a wide range of Bible translations in lots of different languages that are constantly being updated. You can even request new translations on Renewed Vision’s website.
Using the Bible feature, you can create individual Bible reference slides, or even create templates for Bible references to make adding and formatting them even easier down the line. The purpose of the Bible feature in ProPresenter is to quickly and consistently add Bible references to your slides – even if you’re in the middle of a presentation.
Can You Get Bibles For Free In ProPresenter?
Not every Bible translation compatible with ProPresenter is available for free. Licensed Bibles cost $15; this fee is because the private organizations that own and have published these Bibles require a nominal fee to license the Bible out.
Although it is true that some translations require a purchase, which can be done on Renewed Vision’s website and requires a ProPresenter registration name and unlock code, some translations are in the public domain which makes them free to use.
If you’re looking for a translation that isn’t currently offered by Renewed Vision, they have a request form on their website.

How To Install Bibles in ProPresenter
Installing Bibles in ProPresenter is quick and easy. The images below are from the ProPresenter MacOS application, but the process is virtually the same for Windows-based computers. Paid Bibles are linked to your ProPresenter license which means, upon purchasing them from the Renewed Vision website, all you need to do is restart your ProPresenter application and they should be ready to be used. You can also purchase Bibles from directly inside ProPresenter; the process is pretty much the same as installing free Bibles with the added step of a paywall.
Step 1: Open ProPresenter
Step 2: Click “Bible” In The Top Menu Bar
Step 3: Click “Options”
Step 4: Find Your Translation & Click “Install”
That’s all there is to it! At this point, the install button will turn into a progress indicator to show how far you are in the installation process. Once it finishes installing, you should be ready to use the Bible feature with your installed translation(s).
If you are not able to access the translation you just downloaded, try restarting your ProPresenter application. If that doesn’t work, follow the steps above but click the “remove” button that has replaced the “install” button on the Bible translation. You can then restart your application and try installing it again using the steps above.
Should You Pay For Bibles in ProPresenter?
If your church uses one or two Bible translations consistently, I recommend purchasing those translations from Renewed Vision’s website. That is, of course, if they aren’t one of the free options. In my opinion, the convenience of the integrated Bible system in ProPresenter is well worth the one-time cost of $15 for a Bible translation.
Over time, the Bible features in ProPresenter will save you volunteer hours or paid staff hours. Alternatively, suppose you’re willing to do more work. In that case, you can manually input your Bible references but, this is significantly less convenient especially when making changes to your presentation in a live service.
